About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and driven ILS Proposals Manager to lead a dedicated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team within our Proposals division. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing proposal processes and ensuring alignment with both industry regulations and client expectations.

Job requirements

Main Responsibilities
As ILS Proposals Manager, your primary duties will include:

  • Providing leadership and mentorship to the ILS proposal team, fostering continuous growth and high performance.

  • Organizing resources, tools, and best practices to elevate the team's overall efficiency and professional standards.

  • Ensuring timely delivery of complete, accurate, and cost-effective proposal documents.

  • Collaborating closely with internal teams such as Engineering, R&D, and Procurement, as well as external partners.

  • Acting as the ILS subject matter expert during proposal preparation, offering strategic input and technical guidance.

  • Reviewing and validating ILS content within proposals to guarantee quality and compliance with regulations.

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

  • Representing the organization in professional and client-facing engagements related to ILS and proposals.

  • Enhancing knowledge-sharing practices within the department to support long-term capability development.

Your Profile
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, combined with a minimum of seven years of experience in ILS and proposals—preferably within a naval or defense context.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing proposals for complex technical projects.

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams.

  • Excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.

  • Competencies: client focus, leadership and development, result orientation, strategic thinking, negotiation, and decision-making.

  • Fluent in both Dutch and English; proficiency in German is an asset.

  • Able to provide strong professional references. Security clearance is part of the recruitment process.

  • Must possess both permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Candidates with only a work visa or non-EU citizenship are not eligible due to the defense-related nature of the projects.
