Team Lead/ Senior Integration Engineer Marine Systems (Interim)

Are you an expert in marine engineering with a passion for cutting-edge naval projects? Lindemol is looking for a skilled and experienced Interim Team Lead / Senior Integration Engineer Marine Systems to strengthen our team. In this role, you will take charge of designing and integrating complex marine systems into naval vessels, collaborating closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams during the engineering phase.

From defining optimal system configurations to ensuring flawless component integration, your expertise will be essential in the development of innovative ships and the enhancement of existing fleets. This position requires close cooperation across multiple disciplines and involvement throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial proposals and acquisition to production and final testing.

As an Interim Team Lead / Senior Integration Engineer Marine Systems, your main duties will include:

• Supporting the proposal phase by defining and selecting viable marine system configurations and components.

• Preparing functional and technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer needs and design requirements.

• Conducting technical evaluations of supplier quotations in collaboration with the purchasing department.

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements by closely coordinating with suppliers, maintaining alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and budget constraints.

• Reviewing and assessing engineering documentation from suppliers, including schematics, mechanical drawings, calculations, and electrical diagrams.

• Promoting interdisciplinary collaboration to guarantee the best overall project outcomes.

• Driving improvements in the integration of supplied components and systems within the vessel’s design and other marine systems, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Drafting and contributing to technical and functional documents, such as System Description Statements, installation procedures, and testing protocols (HAT, SAT).

• Verifying system performance through dynamic simulations, equipment inspections at supplier facilities, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and on-board installations.

• Providing technical assistance during Setting to Work (STW), Harbour Acceptance Tests (HAT), and Sea Acceptance Tests (SAT) at the shipyard when necessary.

• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and customer technical representatives.

• Coaching team members and participating in design reviews to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Contributing to process improvements, knowledge development, and expertise retention within the department.

To excel as an Interim Team Lead / Senior Integration Engineer Marine Systems at Damen Naval, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field, combined with at least three years of experience in marine systems, preferably in naval shipbuilding, offshore, or commercial shipbuilding.

• A proven ability to manage complex projects, including coordination with regulatory bodies, third-party suppliers, and subcontractors.

• Strong competencies in customer focus, teamwork, results-oriented thinking, quality awareness, problem-solving, and creativity.

• Fluency in both Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills in writing and speaking.

• Strong references, as a security clearance will be part of the hiring process.
