Senior xR Developer (Interim)

We are looking for an experienced Senior xR Developer (interim) to spearhead the development of cutting-edge Virtual Reality (VR) training solutions for the naval sector. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Unity and C# to create immersive simulations that enhance professional training.

As part of a multidisciplinary Agile Scrum team, you will work closely with developers, artists, and solution architects to push the boundaries of xR technology. Key Responsibilities

As an interim Senior xR Developer, you will:

• Design and develop immersive environments and serious games for virtual training applications.

• Translate functional requirements into high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.

• Deliver reliable code increments on schedule while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

• Enhance and maintain in-house tools for interactive course creation.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

• Coach team members to uphold code quality and best development practices.

• Ensure all project requirements and technical specifications are fully met.

Required Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in software development, game development, or a related field, with at least four years of relevant experience.

• Strong expertise in C# programming, Unity Engine, and xR development, particularly in VR applications.

• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns.

• Experience with Python, Blender API, or relational databases is a plus.

• Excellent command of English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dutch and/or German is a bonus.

• A proactive, results-driven mindset, with strong adaptability, creativity, and teamwork skills.
