Functieomschrijving
For a complex maritime engineering programme, we are seeking an experienced Structural Outfitting Engineer to take the lead in coordinating externally executed detailed engineering activities related to secondary steel structures.
In this position, you will oversee the elaboration of steel outfitting components such as access systems, support structures and equipment foundations. You ensure that external engineering partners deliver high-quality 3D models and documentation that fully comply with contractual requirements, classification rules and applicable standards. To achieve this, you provide clear technical input, steer design decisions and validate deliverables against functional and regulatory criteria.
You will operate within a multidisciplinary engineering environment where continuous coordination with other technical domains is essential. Besides technical accuracy, you will also consider practical aspects such as accessibility, safety, ergonomics and production feasibility.
This opportunity is well suited for a senior engineer who enjoys working in a technically demanding, project-driven environment within advanced shipbuilding programmes.
