Functieomschrijving

As a Senior Electrical and Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for adapting, improving, and integrating electrical systems on board one of the Royal Netherlands Navy’s key vessels — the Zr.Ms. Karel Doorman. This large-scale project focuses on modernizing and optimizing existing installations to enhance reliability, performance, and compliance with defense standards.

You will work within a compact multidisciplinary team, combining office-based engineering tasks with practical on-site activities aboard the ship. Close coordination with the shipyard team, suppliers, and external contractors will be part of your daily routine. Your technical insight and problem-solving ability will help extend the ship’s operational life and ensure all systems function seamlessly.
