Job description
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and optimizing electrical systems for advanced maritime vessels. Your expertise ensures the performance, reliability, and compliance of power systems and wiring configurations, adhering to stringent industry regulations.
From load balance calculations and power distribution network development to defining efficient cable routing, your designs will be critical in maintaining operational readiness under the most challenging conditions. Depending on the vessel’s requirements, your work will also include integrating EMC-compliant power distribution for specialized onboard systems.
Collaboration is key in this role. Working within a V-model development framework and utilizing a 3DExperience engineering environment, you will coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams. Your designs—ranging from basic to detailed engineering—will undergo rigorous testing and validation throughout the design and production phases to ensure the highest standards are met.
Your contributions will play a vital role in the successful launch of next-generation maritime vessels, ensuring operational excellence and mission readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop functional descriptions, schematics, and other foundational engineering documentation for power distribution, lighting, and electrical systems.
Define and maintain specifications for electrical components and installation processes.
Create detailed test and validation plans to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements, using both virtual (simulations) and real-world testing (FAT, HAT, SAT).
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely project contributions.
Review and integrate vendor and subcontractor designs into the overall vessel architecture.
Establish standards and methodologies for detailed engineering and commissioning.
Support proposal phases by developing conceptual electrical power system designs.
Provide technical expertise and assistance during commissioning and project execution.
