About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and driven ILS Proposals Manager to lead a dedicated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team within our Proposals division. This pivotal role involves managing the full proposal lifecycle for complex naval programs, with a strong focus on quality, timeliness, and cross-departmental collaboration. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing proposal processes and ensuring alignment with both industry regulations and client expectations.

Main Responsibilities
As ILS Proposals Manager, your primary duties will include:
Providing leadership and mentorship to the ILS proposal team, fostering continuous growth and high performance.
Organizing resources, tools, and best practices to elevate the team's overall efficiency and professional standards.
Ensuring timely delivery of complete, accurate, and cost-effective proposal documents.
Collaborating closely with internal teams such as Engineering, R&D, and Procurement, as well as external partners.
Acting as the ILS subject matter expert during proposal preparation, offering strategic input and technical guidance.
Reviewing and validating ILS content within proposals to guarantee quality and compliance with regulations.
Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
Representing the organization in professional and client-facing engagements related to ILS and proposals.
Enhancing knowledge-sharing practices within the department to support long-term capability development.
Your Profile
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, combined with a minimum of seven years of experience in ILS and proposals—preferably within a naval or defense context.
Demonstrated expertise in managing proposals for complex technical projects.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement.
Competencies: client focus, leadership and development, result orientation, strategic thinking, negotiation, and decision-making.
Fluent in both Dutch and English; proficiency in German is an asset.
Able to provide strong professional references. Security clearance is part of the recruitment process.
Must possess both permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport. Candidates with only a work visa or non-EU citizenship are not eligible due to the defense-related nature of the projects.
