As an Integration Engineer for Valves and Fittings, you will serve as the technical specialist responsible for the selection, configuration, and validation of valve and fitting systems installed on naval vessels.

Your mission is to ensure these systems operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with the demanding standards applied to defense-related engineering projects. From early design through final delivery, you’ll collaborate closely with internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve optimal system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will take ownership of all technical and coordination aspects related to valve and fitting integration, including:
Developing system concepts and selecting the most effective configurations during the engineering phases.
Participating in multidisciplinary project teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Preparing and reviewing technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors.
Evaluating supplier quotations and monitoring deliverables for completeness and compliance.
Reviewing and processing supplier documentation to make it accessible for the broader engineering organization.
Conducting integration reviews and system validation activities, focusing on mechanical and functional interfaces.
Identifying improvements or issues in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.
Providing support during testing and commissioning phases, including factory acceptance tests (FAT) and sea trials (HAT/SAT).
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and certification authorities.
Sharing expertise and mentoring colleagues to strengthen knowledge within the engineering team.
Candidate Profile
To excel in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and attributes:
A completed technical education (MBO or Bachelor’s level) in Mechanical, Marine, or a related engineering field.
Solid knowledge of piping systems, integration challenges, and applicable standards and regulations.
Proven experience with valves and fittings within marine or offshore environments.
A pragmatic, results-driven attitude combined with strong analytical and communication skills.
Fluency in English is required; Dutch language skills are a plus.
Familiarity with 3D CAD tools such as Cadmatic or 3DExperience (CATIA) is advantageous.
Willingness to work on-site in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
Positive references and the ability to pass a security screening, as required for defense-related projects.
Permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport are mandatory.
Candidates holding (also) non-EU nationalities or EU work visas unfortunately cannot be considered due to defense security requirements.
