We are seeking a technically skilled PLM Application Engineer with a specialization in 3DX to support and improve digital engineering tools within complex naval projects. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing the configuration and performance of product lifecycle systems, bridging the gap between engineering workflows and system capabilities.

Your Responsibilities

As part of our engineering applications team, your core tasks will include:

  • Converting engineering requirements into structured, practical system functionalities;

  • Working closely with technical and IT teams to enhance system usability, performance, and scalability;

  • Driving the deployment and refinement of key application features and managing configuration updates;

  • Administering user roles, permissions, and implementing new system modules or integrations;

  • Managing technical libraries and datasets related to outfitting and interior components;

  • Supporting users on the shop floor and engineering teams through direct assistance and tailored training;

  • Producing and maintaining comprehensive user guides, instructions, and support documents;

  • Providing legacy system support related to the Cadmatic outfitting environment when required.

Your Profile

We are looking for a professional who brings:

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably related to shipbuilding or mechanical systems;

  • Practical experience using Dassault Systèmes’ 3DExperience (3DX) platform in engineering contexts;

  • Knowledge of the Cadmatic Outfitting software suite is considered an asset;

  • A strong grasp of PLM processes and experience with application lifecycle management;

  • Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and clear communication skills;

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; Dutch language skills are beneficial;

  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in the Vlissingenor Schiedam region as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • A clean background check, as a pre-employment security screening is part of the recruitment process.

  • EU citizenship and a valid EU passport (candidates requiring an NL/EU work visa or holding dual EU/non-EU nationality are not eligible due to the security-sensitive nature of our projects).
