Tender Engineer Electrical & Automation

As a Tender Engineer specializing in Electrical & Automation, you will play a key role in developing electrical and automation systems for cutting-edge naval vessels. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute innovative solutions that comply with industry regulations and strengthen commercial proposals. This role requires regular travel between offices in Vlissingen and Schiedam.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your main tasks will include:

• Conducting requirements analysis to assist in selecting preliminary equipment and defining budget allocations.

• Designing system architectures, including Single Line Diagrams, Automation Architectures, electrical load balances, and propulsion system configurations.

• Assessing designs against technical and regulatory requirements, providing comprehensive reports.

• Drafting clear and precise technical documentation, contract specifications, and reports for clients and subcontractors.

• Engaging in discussions on technical and commercial matters with customers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

• Supporting cost evaluations in collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams.

• Coordinating with various internal departments to enhance project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 3 years of experience in electrical system design, preferably within complex (maritime/tender) projects.

• Strong technical writing skills for producing detailed and persuasive documentation.

• A commercial mindset to develop viable and competitive proposals.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. Dutch proficiency is preferred, and a willingness to learn Dutch is required.

• Strong professional references, as security screening is part of the hiring process.

• Permanent EU citizenship and passport. Candidates holding an EU (work) visa or dual EU/non-EU nationality are not eligible due to the security requirements of the projects.
