Are you skilled at turning complex requirements into clear, cost-effective solutions? Join our team as a Proposal and Cost Estimator, where you'll be responsible for crafting accurate cost calculations and professional service proposals that align with client needs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be a key player in the Services department, ensuring that all proposals are not only competitive but also strategically sound. Your main tasks will include:

• Reviewing technical specifications and customer requirements to define the scope of work.

• Calculating the costs of labor, materials, tools, and other resources for service projects.

• Assessing how changes in scope or requirements affect pricing and timelines.

• Coordinating closely with colleagues across departments, especially the Customer Services team, to collect essential data.

• Creating complete and persuasive proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and technical details.

• Performing risk assessments and proposing strategies to manage uncertainty and cost fluctuations.

• Conducting market research to benchmark prices and spot cost-saving opportunities.

• Staying current with developments in the defense industry, including regulations and technology.

• Documenting all processes and estimates thoroughly for future reference and transparency.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• A background in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Life Cycle Management (LCM), and service-based cost estimation for naval systems or similar sectors.

• Familiarity with naval maintenance, vessel operations, and project execution.

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.

• Strong skills in communication, teamwork, flexibility, problem-solving, and a sharp focus on customer satisfaction and quality.
