A leading organization in the maritime sector is seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior, specializing in Joinery for Accommodation and Technical Spaces. In this dynamic position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective subcontracting and detailed engineering of joinery/accommodation systems for naval vessels. Your expertise will help translate design concepts into precise technical specifications, supervise the engineering process, and uphold stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.

  • Creating detailed technical specifications for joinery works, in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaborating with procurement and supply chain teams to identify suitable materials and suppliers for accommodation joinery and insulation.

  • Assisting in quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure finished joinery adheres to required standards.

  • Providing technical support and guidance to the production team, addressing any issues that arise throughout the project.

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of joinery specifications, modifications, and project progress.

  • Working closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of joinery works with various ship systems.

  • Staying informed about industry developments and best practices related to joinery, integrating them into projects as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills
To thrive as a (Senior) Integration Engineer Interior, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Architecture, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on joinery works in the maritime industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, techniques, and industry standards.

  • Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of German is a significant advantage.

  • Excellent references, as a pre-assignment security screening is part of the recruitment process.

  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required; candidates with an EU (work) visa or non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible due to the military nature of our projects.
