Job description

As a Senior Integrated Project Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire planning process for the construction of advanced naval vessels. This complex process involves thousands of interconnected tasks and requires meticulous coordination. Utilizing Primavera P6, you will develop resource-loaded project schedules that will guide the project from concept and design through production and final commissioning. Your expertise in planning will be crucial in ensuring the successful and timely execution of each project phase.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a detailed baseline project plan in close collaboration with Project Managers, Team Leaders, and subcontractors, ensuring all dependencies and activities are effectively structured.

  • Maintain and assess operational plans to detect delays and bottlenecks early, allowing for proactive problem resolution.

  • Implement process improvements to optimize workflows and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Generate detailed progress reports and accurate hour forecasts to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.

  • Manage and consolidate project data for multi-project (portfolio) planning to enhance coordination and resource allocation.

  • Lead the logistics team to ensure seamless supply chain and resource management.

  • Handle discussions and negotiations regarding import/export regulations, incoterms, and customs compliance to facilitate smooth project operations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning with Oracle Primavera P6, preferably in shipbuilding or manufacturing industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage intricate project schedules with numerous interdependencies.

  • Strong background in resource-loaded project planning and multi-project portfolio planning.

  • Proven expertise in risk identification, mitigation strategies, and process improvements.

  • Excellent analytical skills to monitor and optimize project execution by identifying delays and bottlenecks.

  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration between engineering, IT, and manufacturing departments.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in areas related to import/export regulations, incoterms, and customs.

  • Ability to create comprehensive progress reports and accurate resource forecasts.

  • A proven track record of securing stakeholder engagement and approval for project adjustments and enhancements.

  • Strong professional references, as security clearance is a mandatory part of the hiring process.

  • Permanent EU citizenship and a valid EU passport are required. Candidates holding an EU (work) visa or those with dual EU and non-EU nationality are not eligible due to the sensitive nature of military-related projects.
