Functional Application Specialist Cadmatic (Outfitting)

As a Functional Application Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting engineering functionalities within our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) platform, with a focus on Cadmatic Outfitting. You will be responsible for improving efficiency across engineering processes, ensuring smooth integration throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert engineering business needs into functional specifications for application development.

• Analyze technical challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to find effective solutions.

• Design, implement, and optimize application functionalities and processes.

• Oversee integration and interfaces between applications and Cadmatic Outfitting.

• Manage user access rights and project environment configurations within Cadmatic Outfitting and Hull.

• Maintain and update catalogs, libraries, specifications, and other project-related data.

• Establish and maintain relationships with software suppliers and industry knowledge partners.

• Organize and conduct application-related training sessions in collaboration with the Engineering Support Manager.

• Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users working with Cadmatic Outfitting.

• Develop training materials, user manuals, documentation, and application tips.

• Additional responsibilities may include Functional Application Specialist duties for the 3DX Fluids stream (Piping, HVAC & Mechanical) on new tooling platforms.

Skills & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, preferably in Outfitting (Piping, HVAC, Mechanical) and/or Shipbuilding.

• Strong proficiency with Cadmatic, with additional experience in CATIA and 3DExperience (Dassault Systèmes) being a plus.

• Knowledge of PLM principles and hands-on experience in functional application management.

• Excellent English communication skills, with Dutch language skills being an advantage.

• Willingness to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam, The Netherlands.
