Functieomschrijving

For a large-scale maritime engineering programme, we are seeking a temporary Technical CAD Specialist to support a structural design team within an engineering environment focused on complex vessel construction.

In this position, you will further detail and technically refine structural base drawings so that workshop and on-site machining activities can be executed without ambiguity. This includes incorporating machining tolerances, fastening layouts, alignment provisions and grouting specifications into the design documentation.

You will work closely with mechanical engineers, installation specialists and external partners to ensure that structural bases are properly positioned, secured and supported during installation. Operating within a multidisciplinary setting, you will develop and manage 3D models and associated production drawings while ensuring that internal review and approval processes are completed.

This role suits professionals who thrive in technically demanding, project-driven environments within the naval or heavy engineering sector.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed vocational technical education at level 4 or higher (or equivalent) in a mechanical or structural discipline.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience preparing manufacturing or machining documentation.

  • Practical experience with advanced 3D CAD platforms (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA-based environments or comparable systems).

  • Proficient in written and spoken English.

  • Willingness to undergo background verification as part of the recruitment process.
